About Cycle Works Motorsports in Canada | Serving Foothills, Acheson, Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer Alberta with New & Used Powersports

A Letter from Cycle Works President, Jim Roth

In 1980, in a 260 sq ft service bay, Cycle Works began as a snowmobile machine shop. Now, 30 + years later, Cycle Works has grown into a leader in the Canadian powersports industry.  I have enthusiastically been a part of the Cycle Works family since 2000 and have seen it go through some amazing things, including the opening of a Calgary location in 2005, the recent second expansion of our West end location which originally opened in 1998, the opening of our location in Okotoks in the summer of 2012 and our newest location in Red Deer. We are all proud to have won outstanding dealer awards year after year from our manufacturers and are especially thrilled with our achievement of being inducted into the Polaris Hall of Fame in 2008.

A dealership does not thrive on awards alone though. Cycle Works has truly been blessed with so many loyal and wonderful customers throughout the years. One thing we especially love to see is the generations of customers who come to visit us; from grandparents who bought their first sled from us in the 80's all the way down to their grandchildren who are getting a brand new quad for Christmas! We are always so happy to welcome these families into our Cycle Works family. We gladly call our customers our friends and are very thankful for all the support you have given us over the years.

Finally, the key to any business operation is the staff. This company would be nothing without its expert staff, many of whom have been with us since the beginning. The staff and ownership group at Cycle Works are truly like a family and I believe their respect for each other and passion for their jobs is what has helped us to become so very successful. I hope that our customers enjoy spending time with these special people as much as I do.

The Story of Cycle Works

In 1980 Cycle Works began in a tiny service bay in Edmonton, with a passion for powersports and a desire to custom build what you could not buy.

Today, Cycle Works still brings that passion to its five stores. Fortunately, we are blessed with a line-up of manufacturer's who make machines that fulfill your wildest dreams so we no longer have to build them from the ground up ourselves.
At Cycle Works, we're riders too so we know what it takes to get out there and have a great time. Our long-time staff have unparalleled knowledge and experience when it comes to unit sales, parts, accessories and service. Most of our staff have been Team Cycle Works members for 5+ years and some have celebrated over 30 years, just like the company!

We offer you the best from Polaris, Slingshot, KTM, Victory,Indian, Suzuki, Yamaha, Arctic Cat, Husqvarn, Husaberg, Royal Enfield and Pitster Pro as well as variety of accessories and apparel from great companies like Fox, Thor, Joe Rocket, HJC and Shoei to name a few. We also offer in-house financing so that we can get you riding on your dream machine in no time.

Cycle Works is proud to be involved in the surrounding community. We sponsor numerous charity rides, golf tournaments and events and have assisted in raising thousands of dollars for the charities in our communities.

Partners in Conservation is a special project initiated in our Calgary store that Cycle Works is very proud of. Together with the various fish, game and wildlife societies throughout the province we are striving to conserve our environments and minimize the damages that can be caused by riders. Check our Partners in Conservation Page for details about our latest projects.

Beginning in 2014 Cycle Works is proud to fund the Cycle Works Group Endowed Fund.  The fund will support 2 bursaries for students enrolled in the third period of the Outdoor Power Equipment Technician program at NAIT.  Awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need, satisfactory academic achievement, demonstrated community involvement, and a letter of submission.  The letter must detail the student's interest and/or connection to the outdoor power equipment industry, as well as outline the student's involvement in extra-curricular or volunteer activities.
